Eternity Bible is a Bible translation written in clear, contemporary English. It contains important annotations that explain obscure verses in cultural context and reconciles or explains textual contradictions. Its commentary also addresses common misinterpretations and the controversial misuse of verses.

Eternity Bible, like every Bible, strives to be an authentic translation of God’s word. Its key characteristics are its clarity of wording and its relevant, much-needed annotations. Once completed, Eternity Bible will be made available online and will be accessible to everybody free of charge. The version will also appear in print and be sent to bookstores around the world. While it will originally appear in English, we aim to translate Eternity Bible into twelve languages before 2030.

We Need You

We need translators who can understand source material and make accurate translations using everyday words that do not distort the original meaning of God’s word. We need apologists to defend Bible verses against common misunderstandings and misuse. And, very importantly, we need people who aren’t Bible scholars—everyday believers—who can read a Bible chapter and identify verses that they think could be worded more clearly, verses that need explaining, or verses they’ve personally found to be taken out of context. This project relies as much upon the layperson as it does upon the expert.

We understand that most people already have several demands on their time so we don’t ask you to do more than you can.

Note: Eternity Bible has no agenda. The focus of Eternity Bible is not to give our world a ‘palatable’ version of events. It is to give people a Bible translation whose verses are easy to understand and harder to unknowingly misuse. The Eternity Bible team is independent of all external influences and the translators working on this Bible have no denominational, political, or ideological aims.

Volunteer to read the book of Matthew

An important part of Eternity Bible is its commentary. These explanatory notes are created by certified Bible scholars and for one purpose: to address the questions that people have when reading the Bible. We’re currently looking for part-time volunteers who can read the book of Matthew and tell us which verses seem unclear or contradictory. If you can do this, we need your help. Remember, you can participate in the Eternity Bible project wherever you are and set up your own schedule.

Please fill out the volunteer form and we’ll contact you with more details.
